Albizu University:

Bilingual, Online Course Development

As an instructional designer with Symbiosis Educational Consultants, I have assisted Albizu University faculty and SMEs as they design and develop a large number of courses for the online learning modality. We progress from the curricular course map and syllabus through module documents to produce a 15-module finished course in Blackboard. Content is presented in Articulate Rise. I hold weekly meetings with SMEs, as well as other stakeholders; the ID is the central liaison between Symbiosis and Albizu, and in addition to the SMEs, I work with developers, copy editors, the digital learning office at Albizu, and even their librarian.

Albizu University is located in Puerto Rico and all of the course materials are in Spanish. I have served as instructional designer for the development of the following courses: Spanish Composition; Introduction to Neuropsychology; American History; Introduction to Literature; Mental Health in Minority Populations; and Introduction to Cyberpsychology.
